2010 Accommodation overview
Team up with Thebe Tourism Group for 2010
Cape Town resounded with the roar of thousands of vuvuzelas on Friday, December 4, 2009 as a crowd of about 60 000 flag-waving soccer fans waited for the momentous 2010 FIFA World Cup Final Draw to take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
The festival atmosphere extended into the city centre, giving visitors and locals a foretaste of the excitement that awaits them in June 2010, when soccer stars from all over the globe will compete for the first time in a World Cup on African soil.
Inside the Cape Town International Convention Centre, visiting dignitaries and soccer personalities could barely contain themselves as home-grown Hollywood star Charlize Theron and a host of local sporting greats proceeded with the Final Draw. There were mixed reactions from the audience as each country was selected and allocated to its designated group in preparation for the first-round matches next year.
With the eight groups now selected and the early match schedules finalised, there’s no time to waste in making the necessary arrangements to ensure that you’re in the right place at the right time to support your team as it takes on the opposition.

Competition
To get the soccer spirit going, TTG is running a competition in which two exclusive vuvuzelas made from the kelp that grows off the Cape coast are up for grabs. Vuvuzelas are traditionally tin or plastic horns that are blown at football matches, but Cape Town social upliftment project Kelp Environmental Learning Project is producing the horns from kelp painted in festive colours.
To stand a chance of winning one of the two vuvuzelas, look at our match schedule and answer the following question: Which two teams are playing in the opening match of the 2010 FIFA World Cup?
The senders of the first two correct answers emailed to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) will each have a unique kelp vuvuzela delivered to their door.
