Clients to benefit from Thebe divisions’ merger

Thebe Tourism

The Thebe Tourism Group has hit the ground running this year by announcing a January merger between two complementary divisions, Thebe Exhibitions and Projects and Thebe Conferences and Events.

“The merger makes good business sense as it embodies a natural blending of expertise to the benefit of the exhibitions, conferences and events industry,” says Thebe Exhibitions and Projects Group managing director, Carol Weaving.

Although each of the two divisions previously maintained a distinctive focus, they comprise a formidable team under a single umbrella. Thebe’s Exhibitions and Projects Group brings with it experience organising premier events such as Decorex, Gardenex, World Holiday and Travel Fair, and managing Meetings Africa and events hosted at the Coca-Cola dome.

Thebe’s Conferences and Events division contributes two decades of experience in providing customised, client-focused solutions for a wide range of events, ranging from product launches and sports marketing, to conferences and gala dinners. Their clients include Old Mutual, British American Tobacco, Discovery and Standard Bank.

“We look forward to working together in this fast-moving, highly competitive industry, and to offering our clients the extra advantage of pooled resources and expertise,” says Weaving.
