Thebe Tourism Group active at Durban’s Tourism Indaba

The Thebe Tourism Group (TTG) maintained a busy profile with a stand at Durban’s annual Tourism Indaba held at the Durban International Convention Centre (ICC) from May 8-11, 2010.

This well-attended networking platform sees the cream of the tourism crop gather along with international buyers to network and plan joint opportunities for the upcoming tourist season.

Alida Canevari, TTG’s 2010 project manager, says that “a great deal of interest” was shown in the Group’s 2010 room stock during the event.

“In the weeks post-Indaba, we have successfully converted leads into definite sales,” she adds.

“This year’s Indaba was fantastic, with global interest in South Africa due to the 2010 focus. As a sales platform Indaba is incomparable and the new contacts we made as a newly consolidated entity are invaluable,” says Thebe Tourism Inbound Head Heather Gutierrez.

“It’s at forums such as these that we are also able to showcase new products to our clients and to solidify our relationships with them,” Heather explains.
