Thebe Tourism’s Inbound Division consolidates

Thebe Tourism

Repositioning and restructuring initiatives recently implemented by the Thebe Tourism Group have resulted in the consolidation of its Inbound Division.

Four inbound companies – Distinctive Destinations, United Touring Company (UTc), Planning SA and Hello Africa – now fall under the newly formed company, Thebe Tourism Inbound, as brands as opposed to operating entities

The brands will continue with their market-specific focus and the consolidation will not impact on their existing client relationships.
Thebe Tourism’s Inbound Division made good use of a captive audience to officially launch its new face at Durban’s Tourism Indaba in May. This included a stakeholder briefing which preceded a cocktail party at Durban’s Elangeni Hotel.

Following an introduction and welcome by general manager of marketing, Hapiloe Sello, and an overview by CEO Monwabisi Fandeso, head of TTG Inbound, Heather Gutierrez, talked tourism stakeholders through the repositioning and restructuring initiatives recently implemented at the group, and the benefits that would accrue to suppliers and clients as a result of these.

At each of the presentations, Thebe Inbound’s consolidation and repositioning were very well received.

“It is gratifying to know that all stakeholders in the industry support the internal changes that we have made. This makes us leaner and more efficient, with integrated systems and effective resource allocation,” says Heather.
